Mo Ryan and I are back, this time with an hour-long podcast devoted almost exclusively to AMC’s “Breaking Bad.” It’s an hour-long podcast, and about 95% of it is dedicated to the return of one television’s best shows. Pay no attention to the sound of meth cooking in the background during this 6 minute trip into the heart of darkness.
This week’s music: Bruce Springsteen’s “Badlands,” James Brown’s “SuperBad”
Time stamps…
Intro and Other Debuting Shows This Week: 0:00 - 5:08
“Breaking Bad”: 5:08 -End
As per usual, you can subscribe to the podcast here. Subscribing is your best option to ensure you get all episodes of “Talking TV with Ryan and Ryan” as soon as they are available. Recently, there’s been a slight lag in what iTunes store shows versus what’s actually available if you subscribe, so subscribe away to get the latest and greatest ASAP. But if you absolutely hate iTunes on the same level on which Mo hates preachy endings, here’s a new place to grab MP3s, since the old one no longer works. Or, you can listen to it right now by hitting up the podcast’s native site here. Lots of options, y’all.
Enjoy!

Enjoyed listening to the podcast after watching Boxcutter Sunday night. I have an alternate theory to Mo’s. She thinks that Walter is chosing this path and that he could walk away. I say that we are seeing a TV version of The Killing Joke. The famous Alan Moore Joker/Batman story (spoiler - where the Joker shoots Barbara Gordon putting her in a wheelchair - spoiler). Joker gives the theory that anyone can go bad or go crazy if they have a bad enough day. I think Walter would have never taken this path if he hadn’t gotten Cancer and because of that event, he’s found that he likes the darkness and he likes the thrill. As Mo said, he is the cancer to his friends, family and almost anyone he touches. Almost everyone is worse off because of him.
